FAQ's

What are your prices?

As each piece is individually created to the client's requirements, using different quantities of materials and varied labour costs, I don't list prices on this site. However what I promise is that the price quoted at the time of placing your order will not increase.

    • Bridesmaids £15 - £60 (most are towards lower end)
    • Pins (Per set of 3) £10 - £80

  • Jewellery (not shown)
    • Bridesmaid sets of necklace and earrings £12 - £45
  • Postage and packaging
    • Recorded delivery is included in the total quoted at the point of order and the items will be delivered carefully boxed.

I like what I've seen, what do I do now?

I offer an individual service and I would always prefer to meet the client at my home where I have all my samples and materials to hand, appointments are generally available week days, week nights and also on a weekend. This I appreciate has geographical restrictions so the alternative is for me to undertake a consultation preferably by phone so that I can fully understand your requirements. I am however happy to work via email. You can order an exact replica of something you have seen on the site, an adapted version, or a new piece. There is no obligation with a consultation.

After a telephone or email consultation a cheque will be required, once cleared the item will be despatched. For face to face orders, no payment is required until the finished goods are collected. In either instance cheques should be made payable to H Head.

How can designs be adapted?

  • Mounts - circular tiara band for hair up, alice band to wear on an angle for tiaras with short hair or hair down, alice bands to wear concealed, combs, clips etc…
  • Asymetrical designs will always be made to wear at the side of a parting as this is the most flattering and best covers the slim band.
  • Beads - Crystals, clear or rainbow coated, coloured crystals, glass beads, real pearls, faux pearls, crystal pearls, fresh water pearls, coloured pearls etc…. the choice is yours
  • Integrating your own materials such as grandma's old crystal necklace or string of pearls is something I do regularly.
  • Different colours, shorter, taller, wider, flatter, heavier, daintier, the choice is yours.
  • If it isn't possible to send me a swatch of fabric you could always send me a paint card swatch or provide me with best match details.

What about timescales?

I aim for a 4 - 6 week turn round on an order, shorter timescales can be met (workload permitting). I prefer a bride to have her headdress at least 2 months before the wedding if possible to permit for hair practices and trying with the dress.

What if the item isn't suitable when I receive it?

If you are not completely satisfied with your commission, return it within 10 days of receipt together with the original packaging. Please bear in mind that each item is individually made to your requirements and whilst you may return it within 10 days of receipt with a deduction for postage, under the distance selling regulations any item that is custom made to order is not subject to the 10 days legal requirements as a matter of course. Refunds will not be given however if the item has been worn.

Could you copy a design I've seen?

No, this would be against the original designers' copyright and would be both unethical and illegal. If you have a specific idea in mind this can be used as a source of inspiration but no copies of other people's work will be undertaken.
